Sustainably farmed and widely loved, Tilapia is a mild, adaptable white fish that performs beautifully across a variety of cuisines and cooking methods.

The majority of frozen Tilapia is imported form China, while the majority of Fresh is from Mexico, Columbia, Honduras, and Brazil. Three of the most common species cultivated in the United States are Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticas), an emerald-green tilapia known for its high yield and rapid growth; Blue Tilapia (Oreochromis aureus), a cold-resistant strain; and Mozambique Tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus),is noted for its reddish skin color.
